Diy Swing Set Ideas

Diy Swing Set Ideas - This project scares the hell out of me. I have a few questions and would love to hear any and all feedback. I never designed it for a 200 lb person swinging 180 degrees, so it is likely that the set would fail if two 200 lbs gymnasts performed acrobatics on it (it is a two swing set). We're trying to create a two position swing set in our backyard made entirely of steel. I do want a little more height than a lot of the kiddie swings have to get better pendulum action. Otherwise an l brace (if metal) to front and back of poles. The neighbors had a tire swing but they had to take that tree down.

I have a few questions and would love to hear any and all feedback. Two vertical 6x6 12ft tall pressure treated posts set in concrete (3ft plus another foot or so for stones at the bottom) placed 8ft apart. I built a swingset in my backyard many years ago, using my treehouse as the support for the swings. The neighbors had a tire swing but they had to take that tree down.

This project scares the hell out of me. I intend to have a climbing rope on the 3.5 foot section. We'd like the width to be 8' and the height for the swing mount to be 10'. Between the end of the swing set and the next tree i have 7 feet. Otherwise an l brace (if metal) to front and back of poles.

Where you said concrete blocks are you saying i need to pour concrete or put the 4x4s on concrete blocks? I built a swingset in my backyard many years ago, using my treehouse as the support for the swings. If done properly it could significantly reduce any type of rocking effect or loosing of ground.

So A Design That Would Work For A 6 Swing Set Is Usually Inadequate For A 12 Foot One.

A 12ft 6x6 post will sit on top of the vertical posts with a 3.5ft overhang. Increasing the arc also increases the potential height for a fall. Between the end of the swing set and the next tree i have 7 feet. I have a few questions and would love to hear any and all feedback.

The Neighbors Had A Tire Swing But They Had To Take That Tree Down.

Set them in concrete just under the surface of the ground. This project scares the hell out of me. The slide is actually okay for up to 5 feet and the ladder will be an easy fix. Otherwise an l brace (if metal) to front and back of poles.

Plus, I Wand To Set The Legs In Concrete In The Ground So I'm Thinking 10 Or 12 Ft Posts For The Legs.
