Diy Archery Target - What i'm looking to make is basically an 8' x 8' wall stop in my basement that i can attach paper targets to. I've seen a lot of how to's on how to make a target out of cardboard etc. I have used the exact same mats as a makeshift broadhead target since i only need one for a handful of shots per year. Homemade archery target (diy archery target for compound bow) after reading some posts on here, and seeing the prices at the store, i decided to try and make my own target at home. I tried to get some from big box stores (keep it out of the landfill) but they weren't interested in letting me pick through their trash i guess. Thanks to all the great ideas by you guys! Just wanted to take a second and share my latest build.

Project took a couple of hours to complete, mostly cutting the foam pads in half and cutting the little puzzle nibs off. It works wonderfully and i can get 6 packs of burlap sacks on amazon. What i'm looking to make is basically an 8' x 8' wall stop in my basement that i can attach paper targets to. The foam slowed the arrow just enough for it to rest against the bad target making for easy removal.
This Thing Is 6' X 4' And About 18 Thick.

I just bought 4 packs of the mats and set them in front of an old shot out bag target. I started at home depot and luckily stumbled upon the manager. I built this 3’ x 5’ target for about $100, including all materials. Diy target build for $5. The foam slowed the arrow just enough for it to rest against the bad target making for easy removal. Thinking of two sheets of plywood onto the wall.
